Welcome to first grade at PCK! What a wonderful year we have planned for your growing students! I am Jennifer White, and I couldn’t be more delighted to have the privilege of teaching first grade again this year! I have been a teacher for thirteen years, and have taught first, second, third, a second and third grade multi-age class, and fourth grade! I was also the librarian and a tier two interventionist right here at PCK. I have my undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in Human Development and Family Studies, and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver. Teaching, for me, is more than a job, it is a true passion of mine to see children grow both academically and socially throughout our year together. I truly believe in building relationships with each student, and creating a class environment where everyone can feel welcome and cared for every day. That foundation will ensure each student can focus on their academic success throughout first grade. 

On a personal note, I love spending time with my family, being outdoors, or reading. My husband, Dustin, and I, have two kiddos. Emerson (6) will be at PCK in first grade, and Landon (4) will be at PCK preK! We also have a (very large) bernerdoodle named Oakley, and we have enjoyed adding her to our family adventures! You can often find us in Grand Lake, enjoying the sunshine and water! I am looking forward to a great year of learning together!
